Asian Brussels Sprouts With Sriracha

Jump to Recipe

Asian Brussels sprouts are a delicious and easy recipe that produces salty, sweet, and slightly spicy Brussels sprouts that are perfect on their own or great as a side dish. This Asian Brussels sprouts recipe is a favorite in our house and I promise you, you will love them too.

I love Brussels sprouts and make so many different dishes with them from caramelized Brussels sprouts, Italian Brussels sprouts, potato and Brussels sprouts gratin , Brussels sprouts pasta and even a Brussels sprouts hash. But sometimes I am just in the mood for delicious sticky Asian style food and this recipe definitely checks off that box.

These Asian Brussels sprouts are made on the stovetop and sautéd until the Brussels sprouts are crisp. The Asian sauce that goes on top of them reduces down to a sticky coating making them so delicious.

This dish is really perfect for entertaining or cookouts because all of your ingredients for the Brussels sprouts can be prepped and ready ahead of time and the cooking time takes only minutes.

If you are like me and do plan to use this dish for entertaining, make sure you double or triple the recipe since guests may want to add heaps of these sprouts onto their plates.

These Asian Brussels sprouts need only a few ingredients. You will need:

  • Brussels sprouts. Read through our how-to-clean Brussels sprouts if you are new to doing this.
  • Oil
  • Soy sauce
  • Honey
  • Sriracha

Not too many items! If you do not have honey you can substitute brown sugar. If sriracha is not in your kitchen, you can use red pepper flakes to get that heat you need in this recipe (don't worry, it is not too spicy.)

I promise that once you make these you will keep it on rotation because they are that good. Make some creamy sriracha sauce or gochujang mayo for those who like it really spicy and you are all set!

How to make Asian Brussels Sprouts

  1. The first thing you want to do is prepare the Brussels sprouts by quartering them. Try to make sure they are all the same size so they cook evenly. You may have to cut some of the larger Brussels sprouts into smaller pieces.
  2. Once the Brussels sprouts are prepped, just mix the sauce ingredients together.

  1. Now you want to add oil and Brussels sprouts to a large flat bottom pan that has been pre-heated and cook them for a few minutes.
  2. Once they have cooked for a few minutes, you are ready to add that delicious Asian sauce to the sprouts.

Here is where the magic happens! That Asian sauce that is poured over the Brussels sprouts will begin to reduce down until none is left and it fully coats all of the Brussels sprouts.

That Asian sauce is seriously delicious!

What to serve with these Brussels Sprouts:

I can eat these Asian-style Brussels sprouts on their own but they also go so well with so many dishes. Here are some of my favorites.

  • Asian Pork Meatballs
  • Seared Pork Chops
  • Juicy Boneless Pork Chops
  • Crispy Coconut Chicken with Hot Honey
  • Chicken Satay (without the skewers)
