Jump to Recipe

Making oven-roasted Spanish green beans is such an amazing way to make green beans. These roasted green beans are the perfect crispy roasted green beans recipe with the most delicious garlicky red Spanish sauce. You will want to lick the plate they are so good.

These baked green beans are the perfect way to make crisp green beans in the oven and adding a delicious Spanish red chimichurri sauce adds so much flavor. This sauce is amazing!

Roasting this Spanish sauce along with the green beans completely changes how I feel about green beans. It has me loving green beans for the first time in a long time.

If you are not familiar with this type of Spanish sauce, it is a close cousin to the green chimichurri sauce that everyone loves. It has some tomato added to the sauce and a few other little additions and it goes so well with roasted green beans.

It is really easy to make too.

The Ingredients

Aside from the Spanish sauce portion of this recipe, you probably already have everything in your fridge. Here is what you will need (full recipe below)

  • Green Beans

Spanish Chimichurri Sauce

  • Tomato paste
  • apple cider vinegar
  • fresh Italian parsley
  • garlic
  • lemon
  • olive oil
  • red pepper flakes
  • paprika
  • salt and pepper

The Spanish chimichurri sauce is a really delicious sauce that goes on to just about anything from meats to vegetables. You can see from the ingredients list that it is going to be loaded with tons of flavor.

How to make

  1. Make your Spanish chimichurri sauce
  2. Rinse and dry your green beans
  3. Toss the green beans and some of your sauce in a large bowl to coat them.
  4. Spread your green beans on a sheet pan
  5. Roast until they are fully cooked.
  6. Once they are done, toss in more sauce to coat the cooked green beans.

Recipe Tips

I highly recommend that you make a meat main dish to go with this dish and use the remaining chimichurri sauce you will have on the meat. I make this sauce for a dish of mine called Steaks tips with Rojo Chimichurri Sauce. It is one amazing meal!

If you are looking for a really good oven roasted green beans recipe then this is it! This recipe will not only save you time with doubling as a sauce for meat but it will be a favorite seasoning for green beans. It definitely has me eating green beans more often.

Storing

These green beans make great leftovers and store well. Allow them to cool fully then place the green beans in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to one week.

You can reheat them in the microwave with a covered paper towel on medium heat for 1-2 minutes or until warmed through.
