Jump to Recipe

Brisket tacos that are made from leftover brisket are a delicious easy meal! Using leftover brisket for tacos is the best way to make use of any extra brisket and so quick to make.

easy brisket tacos

We make lots of brisket when we make our Jewish beef brisket and that means we will usually end up with leftovers. I like to plan for extras because it makes meal planning so easy and these brisket tacos we always look forward to eating.

These tacos are quick to make and a meal you will look forward to with your leftovers.

Ingredients Needed

All simple ingredients:

  • Leftover brisket
  • Flour tortillas taco size
  • Poblano pepper
  • Red bell pepper
  • Spanish onion
  • Olive oil
  • Adobo seasoning

How To Make Leftover Brisket Tacos

Making these leftover tacos is so simple. Here is what you do:

  • Heat Leftover Brisket: Preheat oven to 350 degrees then place leftover brisket in aluminum foil, seal well, and cook for about 10 minutes or until heated through.
  • Make toppings: Cook peppers and onions with seasonings in a saute pan.
  • Warm tortillas: Warm tortillas in a saute pan for 30 seconds per side.
  • Assemble: Assemble the brisket tacos and enjoy with your favorite sauces.

Toppings Ideas

Since these are leftover brisket tacos, we aren't doing much cooking, just warming the brisket up in the oven. This lets us have more time to prepare some delicious toppings for these tacos.

  • For creamy sauces, we love making our Poblano Sauce or Cilantro Lime Sauce or Creamy Sriracha Sauce, and even our Avocado Yogurt Dip
  • For traditional sauces, we enjoy our Pico de Gallo and our Roasted Salsa

We made these brisket tacos and they were amazing! We had leftover brisket from a family gathering and we roasted some red peppers and onions since we had them on hand. Easy and delicious
