Aperol And Gin Martini

Jump to Recipe

This simple Aperol and gin martini is light, crisp, refreshing, and easy to make. Made with Aperol, gin, and a splash of orange juice, this martini is a delicious twist on a classic.

This Aperol martini is one of my new favorite Aperol drinks to make and I do make lots of them. It has only a few ingredients (the way I like my cocktails) and so much flavor.

Because Aperol already has sweetness and a fruity rhubarb flavor, you don't need many ingredients to make a delicious martini with it.

This martini has gin (because we like that it has a smooth finish), Aperol, and a splash of orange juice for an extra touch of sweetness and to pair with the rhubarb flavor in the Aperol.

Everyone needs an effortless cocktail recipe like this one.

Aperol is ideal for sipping on its own or in other cocktails like Aperol soda, Aperol and Rhubarb Fizz, or Aperol sangria.

Aperol Gin Martini Ingredients

  • Aperol
  • Gin. Your favorite brand.
  • Orange Juice
  • Sugar rim (optional but looks great and it's tasty).

This martini is such a simple and festive drink.

How To Make

This drink is so effortless. I have written down my own ratios in the recipe below but feel free to make this your own. Adjust it to your taste!

  • Chill Cocktail Glass: Place a martini glass in the freezer ahead of time if possible.
  • Make Sugared Rim: Grab 2 plates and in one add orange juice and in the other, your granulated sugar. Grab your martini glass and dip the top of it in the cranberry juice. Dip the top into the sugar and set aside.
  • Measure, Shake, and Pour: Now measure out the gin, Aperol, and splash of orange juice into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well. Pour through a strainer into the prepared cocktail glass and enjoy!

Recipe Tips

  • Make this your own. If you like more gin, add more. Adjust the Aperol by adding more or less, to your liking. This is your drink.
  • Try to use a good quality gin that is smooth and not harsh. It will make all the difference in the final result of the drink.
  • Garnish the drink with orange slices if you prefer.

Pairing Ideas

Here are some of our favorite things to serve with this Aperol martini.

  • baked brie with puff pastry
Baked Brie en Croute with Jam

    Easy Pesto Pasta
  • A small glass bowl of dip surrounded by fruit
