By whipping cottage cheese, it becomes light and creamy and it can be eaten as is or used as a base for your favorite sweet or savory toppings. Our favorite way to use it is as a dip but you can use it the same way you would regular cottage cheese except it tastes better!

Whipped cottage cheese is cottage cheese that has been mixed in a food processor or blender until it is creamy, light, and smooth. It is so easy and it is ready from start to finish in just minutes.
Cottage cheese is a healthy breakfast, lunch, or snack that is high in protein so it will keep you full longer, making it a great addition to your diet. Whipping the cottage cheese will not change the flavor but it will give it a wonderful creamy texture.
In our family, we love whipping up cottage cheese because everyone loves the creamy texture since they are not fans of traditional cottage cheese. Try this easy way to eat cottage cheese especially if you have picky eaters in your house.
How to make
Making whipped cottage cheese is so simple. Whipping the cottage cheese until it is light and fluffy takes only minutes in a food processor and anyone can do it.
This light and fluffy whipped cottage cheese makes a great base for fresh fruit or a high protein healthy spread over some toast. You can even make it into a savory meal but adding in your favorite savory toppings.

The first thing you want to do is get out a food processor and add the cottage cheese to it. I prefer using a food processor instead of a blender because you do not need to add as much cottage cheese when whipping it up.
If you do decide to use a blender, you will need to add a little more cottage cheese to the blender to ensure there is enough to blend evenly. You will also want to remember to scrape down the sides of the blender.

You only need to mix the cottage cheese in the food processor for a couple of minutes. The longer you mix, the smoother it becomes!
I use the low-speed setting so the cottage cheese whips up evenly.

Best cottage cheese to use
When making this recipe, it helps to use a good quality cottage cheese like Good Culture. You can use whatever cottage cheese you have on hand but try to make sure it is not fat-free.
Using cottage cheese with a little fat in it helps it whip up into a really creamy cottage cheese. I love using a 2% fat cottage cheese for this recipe.
Storing
This creamy whipped treat stores very well in the fridge. I have had success storing it for up to 3 days. It stays nice and creamy during this time. I have not tested it for any longer than this since it is eaten up pretty quickly in our house.
